Shouts to RNT for dropping this Camuel Jackson mix, otherwise I might’ve forgotten about the H.O.T. Ones and more importantly, this song, forever. This dropped in the Fall of 99, between his releases of Confessions and SDE, and was a staple on Rap City. At that point, I was copping everything Cam was jumping on, but as Fall of 99 was when Napster was exploding, I was doing more downloading than copping. Therefore, I never peeped the project that this track appeared on, which was Dame Grease’s Vacant Lot compilation. Matter of fact, I don’t know anyone in the Midwest who did. Perhaps I’m missing something? I don’t think the H.O.T. Ones were ever heard from again - at least nationally. Another late 90s/early 00s casualty.
