This is another great Quik record, that actually wasn’t a Quik record. Well, not really. Remember Erick Sermon’s Erick Onasis project? No? I wouldn’t be mad if you didn’t (it was actually pretty good). It dropped in the summer of 2000, when the West Coast was again red hot off the strength of Dre’s 2001. Xzibit was a go-to feature guy thanks to his participation on the Chronic part deux, and was kind of the new kid on the block despite having been around four years prior. Quik also dropped the very dope Balance & Options the same summer. Come to think of it, that summer was the shit. Google it.
